Frenkel Air BnB

Florentin TLV | 80 SQ.M indoor |10 SQ.M outdoor

A boutique apartment in one of Tel Aviv's most characterful neighborhoods, reimagined from the ground up within a preserved building. This project called for a complete rethink of the existing layout turning a fragmented, underutilized space into a fluid, light-filled home that feels significantly larger than its footprint. The result is a renovation where nothing was left to chance.

The apartment arrived with the common constraints of older Florentine stock: a rigid floor plan, limited natural light distribution, and a layout that prioritized division over flow. The brief was clear, create a home that lives generously, reflects its owners' taste, and functions effortlessly day to day.The design response centered on opening the plan. Walls were reconsidered, circulation was redrawn, and each room was given a precise purpose without sacrificing the sense of connection between spaces. Material choices were made with cohesion in mind: a palette that feels warm and considered, running consistently from entrance to terrace. On the technical side, every structural intervention was assessed for feasibility before being committed to, and the quality of execution was monitored throughout the build.
What was once a standard apartment is now a home with genuine character, a pied-à-terre that its owners describe simply as a joy to return to.
